Hillary the Harpist is a Colorado native whose musical journey began at just eight years old. By twelve, she was already performing at weddings and appearing with orchestras across Northern Colorado—an early start that foreshadowed a distinguished career defined by artistry, discipline, and excellence.

She went on to earn both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Harp Performance from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York—one of the nation’s premier conservatories, founded by visionary philanthropist and arts patron George Eastman. At Eastman, Hillary refined her craft at the highest level, cultivating the technical mastery and expressive depth that now define her performances.

After completing her graduate studies, Hillary returned to Colorado, where she has since become a sought-after orchestral and freelance harpist throughout the region. She currently performs with the Symphony of the Rockies, Boulder Symphony, and Littleton Symphony. Her orchestral career has also included appearances with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, Evergreen Chamber Orchestra, Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the New World Symphony—demonstrating both regional prominence and national reach.

Beyond the concert hall, Hillary maintains a vibrant freelance career, performing for weddings, galas, and distinguished events across Denver and the Front Range, including Aspen, Fort Collins, Evergreen, Genesee, and Colorado Springs. Her performances have graced iconic venues such as Boettcher Concert Hall, the Denver Botanic Gardens, and numerous historic churches and event centers. She also holds a residency at Denver’s Crawford Hotel at Union Station, where she performs three evenings each week, bringing elegance and artistry to one of the city’s most celebrated landmarks.

When she is not performing, Hillary co-owns Full Afterburner Calzones with her husband, Ben, combining entrepreneurial spirit with creative passion. At home, she is kept entertained by her two Bengal cats—who are, in her words, perpetually on the verge of internet stardom.
