ABOUT ME

Hillary the harpist is a Colorado native who began playing the harp at eight years old. She began playing weddings at 12 and in local orchestras in Northern Colorado at the same age.  She went on to major in music and obtained her Bachelor's and Masters of Music from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. (The school is, in fact, named after the founder of Eastman/Kodak: George Eastman, who was a great patron of classical music).

After obtaining her degrees she decided to move back home to Colorado and has been performing with orchestras and for events ever since.  She currently performs with the Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra, Boulder Symphony, and the University of Wyoming Symphony.  Other orchestras she has played in include the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, Evergreen Chamber Orchestra, Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the New World Symphony.

In addition to performing with orchestras, she freelances frequently playing for events all over Denver and the Front Range area, including Aspen, Fort Collins, Evergreen, Genesee, Colorado Springs, and in the Denver area at locations such as Boettcher Concert Hall, the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Governor's Mansion, as well as many local churches and event centers.
